We've been creating custom hardwood floors since 1991! It was in 1991 that Vaughn began working for Schmidt Custom Floors in Waukesha, WI. (www.schmidtcustomfloors.com) The Schmidts & their crews took Vaughn under their wings & taught him the craft of custom wood floors. We then hung out our own shingle as Wood Floors by Wicks & moved to Southeast Missouri in 1997. We've been in the beautiful Parkland area ever since.

We built our custom hardwood flooring business on the principle of affordable craftsmanship. Our desire was to produce the kind of solid hardwood floors walked on by kings, but for a reasonable price. In 1996 our path brought us to America's heartland, southeast Missouri. Since then we've been creating beautiful floors from the greater St. Louis area to Missouri's boot heel! These floors were made distinctive our handcrafted inlays which are elegant as well as affordable.
